Sezin has been awarded the TÜBİTAK 2210-C National MSc/MA Scholarship Program in the Priority Fields of Science and Technology. Her thesis, “Improvement of Mechanical Strength and Biological Activity of Decellularized Plant-Based Tissue Engineering Scaffolds” focuses on enhancing the performance of plant-derived biomaterials for tissue engineering applications.

Didem has been awarded the TÜBİTAK 2210-C National MSc/MA Scholarship Program in the Priority Fields of Science and Technology. Her thesis, “Development of a Three-Dimensional Human Gut Model on Decellularized Plant-Based Scaffolds,” aims to contribute to the development of ethical, sustainable, and human-relevant in vitro systems as a potential alternative to animal testing.

The project entitled “DermaLeaf ECM: An In Vitro Extracellular Matrix–Enriched Plant-Derived Biohybrid Wound Management Product” was supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) under the 1005 – National New Ideas and New Products Research Funding Program.
